This proposal for the Toronto Sculpture Garden requires that all the political figures normally situated on the lawn of the Ontario Legislative Assembly Building at Queen’s Park attend a mandatory Recovery Meeting for the six month installation period at Toronto Sculpture Garden. At this anonymous meeting, John, John, John, James, George and Oliver have an opportunity to be accountable for the harm they’ve caused others as a result of acting out on their addictive colonial behaviour. A platform is installed so viewers can meet these eight foot tall figures eye-to-eye.
During the six month Meeting period, the six empty plinths in Queen’s Park will be temporarily labeled “IN RECOVERY”.
